All people of the town are member of the 'community'. Everyone has to obey a lot of rules.
One of the most important rules is that you are not allowed to lie. Besides the using of precise language is necessary. At the dinner you have to speak about four feelings or problems of the day and at the lunch in the morning you should share your dream with the other team members. You also have to treat all people similar and respectful and you are not allowed to fight with somebody. The Apologize for bad things is naturally. Parents can only raise one boy and one girl, but it's a 'No-Go' to look at each other nude. All children have to respect the elders till they are gripped in the squad of the most mature people of the community - the elders. The last rule is that you get a life assignment at ceremony of twelve.
When everybody follows these rules and cares about his or her life the relation in the community is assured and acceptable.
I think you made a good job. You mentioned all important points but I would be interested in your own opinion. What do you think about speaking with your family about your own feelings and dreams every day? Or what do you think about the Ceremony of Twelve? Do you think it's good that the Elders chose your Assignment by theirselves and that you don't have the right to decide by yourself?

ReplyDeleteI can perfectly understand the rules about lying and precise language.
ReplyDeleteYou write "When everybody follows these rules and cares about his or her life the relation in the community is assured and acceptable." I find that pretty convincing... What about you? How do you feel about these rules?
